Heidi has decided that getting hurt once is enough. Following a messy breakup, she is determined to keep romance at a distance and make the people who have crossed her regret it. The plan becomes more complicated when a prank lands her in detention with Saffron, a conscientious classmate she would not normally choose as company. Forced to spend time together, they begin to see beyond the reputations each carries through school. Attraction creates a problem for Heidi’s carefully defended position: being understood means allowing someone close enough to disappoint her. This feature from the Flunk world follows two girls discovering that a connection can emerge in the least promising circumstances.
