Ruth has built her life around a company that claims to have solved ageing. Working inside A.E.S.O.P. means helping decide who will receive its life-extending treatment, while accepting strict limits on personal relationships. Meeting Marie interrupts that carefully contained existence. Their attraction offers Ruth something the promise of endless time has never supplied: a reason to want a different life. But the system she serves cannot provide for everyone, and Marie's future exposes the human cost of its calculations. Moving from tentative courtship into speculative drama, the film places two women's relationship inside a larger question about power, scarcity and who gets to choose how another person's life should unfold.
