Young-nam arrives in a small coastal town to take charge of its police station after a transfer from Seoul. She hopes to keep her private troubles to herself, but the community makes distance difficult. When she discovers that a local girl, Do-hee, is suffering abuse at home, she offers protection that draws her into conflict with the adults around them. Her sexuality becomes a weapon others can use against her, threatening both her authority and her ability to help. The drama follows a woman trying to act responsibly in a place where prejudice shapes whose account is believed. At its centre is a difficult question about care, power and the personal cost of refusing to look away.
