Megan Phenix would like to run her bar and grill without becoming the object of every available woman’s attention. In the tourist town of Eureka Springs, avoiding romance proves harder than she expects. Her new neighbor, shop owner Leah Rollins, has similar trouble finding peace, though the two initially get along best when arguing over parking. A practical alliance suggests itself: if everyone believes they are dating, perhaps the unwanted approaches will stop. Keeping up the performance requires spending time together and presenting a convincing affection neither claims to feel. The arrangement solves one problem while creating another, as their supposed relationship becomes increasingly difficult to dismiss. Megan and Leah must decide whether their disagreements conceal more than mutual irritation.
