The Fifth Surgeon

Nadia Keating arrives at a prestigious hospital fellowship determined to prove herself as a cardiothoracic surgeon. Her private life is meant to stay separate from that ambition, particularly after an encounter she expects to leave behind. Discovering that the woman involved is Ashley Rylan, her new chief, makes that separation impossible. Nadia’s intensity and Ashley’s approach to work do not fit comfortably together, yet professional obligations keep bringing them into contact. Research, responsibility and attraction begin competing for space in a workplace where mistakes carry consequences. As each woman sees beyond her first impression of the other, their growing connection challenges the boundaries Nadia hoped would keep her career and her heart secure.
