T-Minus Two

A place on the first mission to colonize Mars means leaving Earth without a return ticket. For the remaining candidates gathering on Hawaii's Big Island, the final competition will decide whose ambitions become a new life on another planet. Mila Todorov has spent years preparing, and the spacecraft already uses her innovative propulsion design. She hopes to work alongside Major Jancey Beaumont, the former NASA astronaut she has long admired. Jancey wants another chance at spaceflight after a mission that made her famous, but she cannot afford mistakes. The attraction between them introduces a distraction neither has planned for, raising the question of whether a partnership can strengthen their chances or compromise the future they have pursued.
