Willow Greene's working days are marked by the kind of technical trouble that repeatedly sends her looking for help. Scottie Prescott, the IT worker who answers those calls, has her own reasons to be cautious about emotional complications after a difficult breakup. Their familiar professional encounters take on a different intensity when an elevator strands them together. Time outside their normal routines gives each woman a chance to notice more than the problem immediately in front of her. This contemporary workplace romance follows an administrator and an IT specialist moving from helpful exchanges toward a more vulnerable connection, while the effects of an earlier relationship complicate the possibility of beginning a new one.
