On a Sunbeam

A crew travels through distant space restoring structures that have fallen into disrepair. Their work gathers fragments of other people’s histories, while the story also turns back to a boarding school where two girls fell in love. The relationship they began there was interrupted by loss, leaving a connection that continues to matter beyond the walls of the school. Moving between those timelines, this graphic novel brings a journey through an unfamiliar universe into conversation with the intimate work of remembering someone. Companionship, damaged places and the possibility of reunion shape a quest in which rebuilding the past is never simply a matter of putting everything back where it once belonged.
