Miss Havisham Says Yes

Between caring for her gran, studying for exams and earning money as a cleaner, Cindi has plenty to think about before the Valentine’s Day student ball. She would also like a beautiful outfit and a girlfriend, preferably without another crisis getting in the way. Tara, her wealthy childhood friend, is a keen climber whose ambitions now include taking Cindi on a date. Neither woman seems quite able to arrange the evening she wants. Then a knock to the head and a peculiar wish bring the possibility of magic into Cindi’s already crowded life. This sapphic Cinderella retelling pairs everyday responsibilities with romantic uncertainty, asking what happens when a wished-for transformation begins with someone who has been nearby all along.
