Bryn has spent years learning how to fight the Fae after they abducted her mother and left her family in hiding. Knowing the danger does not make her ready to confront it alone. When powerful Court Fae arrive, she accepts help from Gwen, a water witch, Dom, a foster kid drawn into the conflict, and Jasika, who has reasons of her own to oppose them. Friendship and attraction complicate the alliances Bryn needs to survive. Discovering a book of magic that belonged to her mother offers another possible source of protection, but using it could cost more than she understands. Trust becomes as important as the weapons she has learned to carry.
