Ink in the Blood

Celia Sand and Anya Burtoni were taught that their ability to tattoo divine instructions onto people's bodies was an honor. Years inside the religion of Profeta have shown them a different reality: their work helps enforce a system built on cruelty and deception. Escape arrives through the Rabble Mob, a traveling theater troupe that offers another use for their talents and a community outside the temple. Their freedom proves fragile when the deity they dismissed as an invention follows them. To protect their new companions, Celia and Anya must confront the force behind the institution they fled and expose the beliefs that allow it to keep controlling others.
