In Your Hands

Manuela has been single for years and is ready to try meeting someone again. A dating app introduces her to Sophia, whose directness makes their conversation feel different from the tentative exchanges Manuela expected. Messages become a way to explore attraction before the women meet, allowing confidence and anticipation to grow between them. This short sapphic story follows the movement from solitary desire toward an encounter with someone who might become more than a temporary connection. Originally published in the Sapphic Sizzle anthology, it centers the uncertainty of returning to dating and the possibilities opened when an apparently casual conversation develops into mutual interest.
