High Times in the Low Parliament

Lana Baker is a talented London scribe with a gift for flirting and a poor instinct for staying out of trouble. An impulsive favor sends her to the Low Parliament, where humans debate under fairy supervision and the consequences of political failure are anything but theoretical. A deadlocked vote could bring a flood that destroys them all. Lana’s connections with the fairy Bugbite and the human Eloquentia become central to her attempt to navigate this strange institution. Set in an alternative eighteenth century, the novella follows a lesbian heroine whose appetite for pleasure meets an urgent need for collective action. Saving the parliament may require a different sort of persuasion from the kind its members expect.
