Valentina has worked hard to establish herself as a television news anchor and expects that effort to lead to a show of her own. Instead, she gets a new co-anchor: Madison, a younger woman whose easy charm only adds to Valentina’s resentment. Madison cannot understand why her colleague resists every attempt at friendship. Both begin imagining a better future in New York, away from their strained partnership in Tallahassee. Then a hurricane approaching northern Florida forces them to cooperate under pressure. With little time left for their usual rivalry, the women discover sides of each other that their on-air smiles and off-air arguments have kept hidden.
