Allison Farley wants a girlfriend, but wanting one has not made the prospect of dating any less daunting. Her best friend, Kate Davidson, seems better equipped to help: Kate knows how to flirt and is comfortable with casual relationships. As the two college design students turn that experience into dating lessons, a familiar friendship begins to feel unexpectedly different. Kate’s confidence does not necessarily extend to the kind of commitment Allison hopes to find. The arrangement leaves both women confronting feelings that their practical plan was never designed to address. Learning how to approach someone new becomes a question of whether they can recognise what has been developing between them all along.
