Don't Want You Like a Best Friend

Beth has one London season to find a wealthy husband before she and her widowed mother lose their financial security. Gwen, already practiced at avoiding marriage, has little enthusiasm for the eligible men on offer. Their friendship supplies a more appealing project: rekindle an old connection between Beth's mother and Gwen's father, allowing the daughters to escape the marriage market themselves. Matchmaking gives them plenty of reasons to spend time together, and their growing attraction soon makes their own futures more complicated than the parental romance they are arranging.
