Baby Teeth

Immy has loved across many lifetimes, but her connection with Claudia feels unlike anything that came before. A yellow rose begins a relationship whose tenderness cannot erase the difference between them: Claudia is human, and Immy is a vampire. Desire brings them closer while hunger threatens the closeness they are trying to build. Within Immy, memories and voices from previous selves continue to press against the present, carrying old wants and old harms into a new love. Told in verse, this story follows the tension between intimacy and appetite. The question is not simply whether Immy can love Claudia, but what it means to love when longing itself can become dangerous.
